Default Charger kicks off after a minute.

I recently replaced my cables because I had my motor rewound for torque and speed. I used 2/0 wire and had to drill out the hole in what I assume is the OBC. Now batteries only charge for a minute or so and then charger kicks off and does not come back on. After a good while I can reconnect the charger and it goes thru the same thing. Does anybody know what I have screwed up here? Maybe drilling the hole out?

Hate to tell you, but yes your OBC is most likely no good because of drilling it out. Before you replace the OBC I would research smart chargers that don't require the OBC, and have a float mode. I have the DPI and love it. Good Luck.

You aren't the first to do it but the OBC is shot now. Bypass the OBC so you can charge your batteries and get a new OBC or a smart charger.

That was the halo sensor and is what registers the current usage...

What is the difference between the DPI and the yewy 1200z? One is 60 bucks cheaper and seems to do about the same things.

I suspect the answer is country of origin.

You're not leaving anything on the table going with 2/0 cable.

Agreed. And based on weight, I do not suspect it has as much windings as the DPI....

I always figured that bigger is better lol (there are exceptions tho). There are some good points here so I will go with the DPI I think.
