I appreciate all of the help! I fixed it, for the time being of course.
When my friend did the upgrades, he confused two wires. He had the B+ attached to solenoid and fnr instead of solenoid and A1 on motor. And had A1 attached to M-. I swapped the two and voila! Real quickly I checked GPS. I got 22mph out of it on flat ground, 2 people, and stock tires. Is that about right? |

If that controller has an A2 terminal and it is being used, it is imperative that the motor armature terminals are wired to Controller B+ and A2 terminals due to the plug diode between the terminals.
That is good speed for a Series motor. |

It does have one and is being used. FNR to A2(controller) then A2 to A2 on motor. A1 on motor goes to B+ on controller and then B+ to solenoid. That’s how I have it right now. Correct? You lost me with your wording.

That is correct now, I was trying to convey that when the Controller has an A2 terminal, it is important to know where the plug diode is wired inside the Controller.
