Default 2016 RXV battery and power issues

Looking for help and suggestions. I bought a refurbished 2016 rxv lifted with big tires and goes 25mph on flat. It slows considerably on hills and the batteries drain really fast. They are new batteries and the place I purchased the cart have already replaced 2 via warranty because of bad batteries. it will show full charge and then drop to 3/4 then drop to 1/2 and then go to dead. Any ideas on what could be the problem? Basically the charge doesn't drop consistently, I have ended up having to push the cart back when 5 minutes ago it showed 50% charge, and the power also changes drastically as the batteries drain and thought I was told that shouldn't happen. It has the 235 controller. Would the upgraded controller I have heard about help? I think it is a curious 350 and should be programmed by @BobBoyce. Does he sell them and what do they cost? What else should I look at it do you think I just have bad batteries? I asked them to replace them all but said they can't until they test bad. Will be calling them again tomorrow as they just returned the car and I have the same problem. I live near Athens, ga. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance.

I have some questions for you before we can fully tackle this problem.

What name brand of batteries and model?
What size of tires do you have?
What size of battery cables do you have?
Do you have a backseat?
Do you have 4-12v or 6-8v batteries?

Yes a Curtis 350amp controller will help you but you possibly have things you need to clear up also.

@usgicollector

Batteries - new Crown Deep Cycle 4 - 12Volts, 155 C/20, 125 C/5 AH Raings
14" Wheels with 23" Tires
How do I check the gauge of the cables?
I do have a backseat.

I firmly believe something is wrong.

Thank you for your help! If I can make get everything right, I am definitely interested in upgrading the controller.

There should be writing on the cables to tell you the awg. If not there probably 6 awg from the factory. Your going to need 2awg with that setup.

I'll send you a pm.

With the bigger tires, lifted, and a back seat and your terrian a 6-8v battery pack would be a better choice for you. But that all cost money and you just bought new batteries.
