If you do add LED indicators, I can't recommend the ones that I found from that large supplier of everything on the internet. They work, but they aren't bright enough to readily see in full sun. (The standard LED in my flasher switch is much brighter by comparison.}

On the plus side they were very inexpensive and only required a small (5/16, 8mm) hole in the dash, so re-drilling to put larger, brighter ones in will be easy.
