Default 48v-12v Converter

How is the best way to wire one of the small converters without a trigger wire?

Right now it is wired directly to the pack which in turn is powering the converter all the time. I am guessing this will lead to a quicker failure

its just a 4 wire setup. + and - for the 48v input and a + and - for the 12V output

Depends on what cart you have for me...But you can always put a toggle switch between the 48 volt + from converter and battery + so when you don't need accessories it won't be on...

I wired mine to come on any time run/tow switch is in run position via a 48 volt relay.
Power from the “energized side of solenoid” close’s relay thus turning on converter.

If you use toggle switch between battery pack and converter.
it must be rated for 48 volts and amprege of converter.
Useing a relay basically sends the converter hi amp draw thru relay instead of sending hi current thru key switch, toggle, ect.

Switch, toggle needs to be rated for max amprege of converter.
So if you have a 30 amp converter, toggle switch must be rated for at least 30 amps also or else it will fail.

Hopefully those better versed in electronics can explain better then me 👍
