Default PowerWise Plug and Receptacle Advise

I recently purchased a 1994 ezgo medalist 36 volt electric that I am upgrading to a new txt body. I am changing out the receptacle as they manufactured one that doesn’t go with the cart. With that being said I have determined I have a series cart and not a dcs or pds. I am trying to determine what charger to use and what receptacle. I was told that I could use the D style 36 volt powerwise charger that can be found online for 60.00 and that I could use the powerwise receptacle. However, when I research the receptacle it says only for dcs and pds vehicles so I am not sure what to use or if I can use it. The powerwise receptacle has 3 wires (yellow, black, and a red plug). I know where the yellow and black wire go but I’m not sure about the little red plug. I will post the extensions to the charger and receptacle I am looking at. Thank you.

The little red plug is from the reed switch and feeds the jumper between MS-2 and MS-4 on the F/R assembly. Your 1994 Medalist didn't have a reed switch and the microswitches on the F/R assembly is fed by a blue wire connected to the solenoid's battery side large terminal.

Disconnect the red plug.

So if I disconnect the red plug from the receptacle will it still charge the batteries? There looks to be a red jumper also on the connector if you look at that image I sent. Do I also disconnect the jumper? Thank you so much for your help.

The image is so small I cannot see any details.

Here is a picture of the charge receptacle with cover off. All you need to connect is the two thicker wires.
