Default TXT PDS slow with new Trojans

Installed a new set of T-105 Trojans in my 2004 TXT PDS and charged them all night. Charger was off this morning but It would barely move in reverse and not much faster in forward. Got new cables and checked each battery and all are good as they should be. It does have a 300 amp Altrex controller. The batteries i pulled out was 4 years old and one was dead is why I replaced them but never had this happen with a new set. Thanks

What is the exact voltage of each single battery? Not a common problem with new Trojans. Check all battery Connections. Hook up the Alltrax controller to a laptop computer with Alltrax Toolkit software and you'll be able to monitor everything.

Batteries are at 6.3 each. Don't have a laptop. Thanks

Ok, 6.3v is 90% SOC, 6.37 would be 100% for the Trojans. But that shoudn't be the problem you have. Instead of a laptop you could use a home pc as well...

What is the pack voltage?

Maybe you got a battery wire crossed up on the reinstall.

Also see this thread and see if you issues are similar.

Verify that you have completed a full charge cycle, sometimes batteries on the shelf have depleted some. Also check your speed sensor wiring to make sure its not damaged.

The first charge of new batteries may take 20 hours or more to reach 100% SoC. Most charges have a safety timer that shut them off after about 12 hours, so you may have to restart the charger a couple of times to get the new batteries fully charged.

Attached is a SoC chart for Trojan batteries. (Voltage readings taken 12 hours after charger shuts off.)

He has a Lister charger. I plugged it in and it ran about 2 hr. and cut off. Battery pack had 37.9 volts. Cart ran better.
