Default 0-5K Potentiometer Max Setting

Hey all,

Quick couple questions when setting my Potentiometer (with Alltrax Controller). I understand how to test output and adjust.

1) How sensitive is the max reading? Does being a few decimal points above or below make a big impact?
2) Am I ok being 5.18k max, or does it need to stop at exactly 5.0k?
3) Is it better to be a little above or below the 5.0k reading?
4) Is there any possible issues/consequences or benefits to upping it to 5.5k or even 6k?

Appreciate the insight!

Shouldn't matter. Pots have a tolerance of at least 10%.

1. Doesn't matter much.
2. Doesn't matter.
3. As long as the LED on the Alltrax controller turns yellow when pedal is on floor, or if the Throttle % on the Toolkit monitor screen goes to 100% with pedal down, it is good to go.
4. Don't know if it is the same for the Alltrax controller, but a stock controller shuts down if the throttle input exceeds 7.0kΩ. (Safety feature to prevent a runaway cart if pot opens or a throttle wire breaks.)
