Best battery options for Navitas 5KW controller/motor on Precedent?
$ not so important as this is my daily vehicle. What are the absolute best options?
I read Trojan Ranger 160s previously, but then read something about lithium. Many thanks. |

If I was in your shoes I would not even consider going back/using FLA batteries and would jump straight to Lithium. Eco Battery is a site sponsor and I would take a good hard look at them. I have been to their shop and seen the product; very clean all around and a great group of guys. Go Lithium and don't look back!

Get the biggest lithium pack your wallet can afford. Eco is good. I’ve got the allied batteries and love them. I also like that they drop into the stock battery locations without modification and use the stock battery tie downs. And that they’re scaleable so if you get say 90aH now and decide in a year you want more range, you can add more batteries and not hurt anything.
Those were the 2 deciding factors for me when I switched to lithium. I don’t have the time nor motivation to deal with making a tray to support the single large battery pack. Drop ins were easy and I’ve got zero complaints. But either way you really can’t go wrong as long as it’s lithium |

Lithium is twice the price of a good FLA set. It is also two to three times the life expectancy.
If you can afford it now, it is the best choice for anyone. If you can't afford it now, it is still the best choice. |

Just pick a pack based on the amperage demands of your current setup. There’s a lithium subsection here with lots of good info. I’ll never own a FLA cart again. |
