2004 was the official year or like you said the end of 2003 but they were 2004 carts I think.
I own two 2003 carts and they both have the pre mci engine.
As far as I know the MCI ignitors are no longer available like the pre MCI's.
I could be wrong.

I knew it was somewhere around there but can never remember exactly when. If it’s pre mci they definitely didn’t buy new oem parts as we all have learned the hard way.

But fyi in case you run across a need…


Country cat shows the mci ignitor in stock https://www.countrycat.com/parts-acc...bin-subaru-mci

Shop ezgo.com doesn’t say it’s “not” in stock either.
