If you go through any kind of mud, I'd stay away from any "All"-Trail tire.

Well, after checking around it would seem I am very limited on a 28" tire with an aggressive tread yet smooth(ish) ride. I like the Duro power grips but they don't come in a 28". Duro does sell the "Buffalo" series in a 28" but I'm not sure. I can get (2) 28 x 10-12's, (2) 28 x 12-12's for $420 shipped but they are not exactly what I am looking for.

Those look pretty good wicked, I may have to go with a 27" tire. My cart is lifted so high I'm just worried I would have to much fender clearance. Not to big a deal to drop it down an inch or so if it looks weird. Gotta do something though, these dirt devils are rough on the road!! Do you know if those Big Horns are DOT tires. That is another consideration I should think about. Not a deal breaker though, my cart is already plated and I havn't had any problems with the dirt devils (legally).

Thats the Maxxis Big Horns I was referring to. They are really popular here in the NW among ATV riders...... where we ride off road a lot, and on road a little. Their known for cleaning out well in the mud & wearing well on the pavement.

I have the Carlisle Trail Pro and they work great on anything except sticky mud, though the stock motor hardly has power to go through much anyway. They ride smooth, work good in sand, hard pack, and blow up to 23" with a little air pressure. They don't tear up yards either if you don't go in the same spot much. Same thing only made in 22s, but if you find a tread like that it should work well.

I thought these Rawhide MT/R might be good, anyone used them? http://www.cedarrapidstire.com/home.php?cat=429
Seems like the offset tread might be quieter, but still a big tread. They do look more like a monster truck tire.

Maybe. But the staff is really knowledgeable & if they don't have what I'm looking for, they'll find it for me. I trust them.
