Intermediate hesitation
I think I have read about this before, but I have searched and can't find it now. Every now and then when you push the accelerator we get nothing. Sometimes you hear a little humming or something like that, but sometimes nothing. If we keep trying and push slow on the accerlerator the engine fires and all is good. This started last summer and it happened maybe three or four times all summer and that was it. This last time we went to the lake it happened several times all weekend. It is getting worse and I don't want to get stranded somewhere. We now are pushing it down several times before it starts, once I bet I pushed it down ten times or more times. Once it is running it runs great and we may not have an episode all day, or once it happened the next time we stopped. If I recall this was an easy fix, but I can't find a thread about this now. Can you guys help me out?

Re: Intermediate hesitation
Is the humming the starter spinning and the belt slipping and not turning the engine over?

Re: Intermediate hesitation
I don't think so. Would I hear the belt spinning? Sometimes I don't hear anything at all and then others I do.

Re: Intermediate hesitation
I just got my first cart, a g8. It does the same thing, I found if I hold the pedal down for a few seconds it will kick in and start. Most of the time when mine does it, it is turning over but really slow. I think it is either a voltage supply problem to the starter or the bushes not making good contact (either worn or glazed) but I haven't tore in to that yet. Does this sound like a possibility?
