Default Few Questions

First I am not sure what model of Yamaha I even have, I can not find any model tag or serial number anywhere. It is a 4-stroke motor, I think that I read something like 280cc on the cylinder, I'd have to look again to see exactly.

But one thing that I am doing is making it go faster, I eliminated the govenor and am running the throttle direct. But now the motor hits the rev limiter and doesn't go as fast as I'd like. Is there a way to over ride the REV limiter or something that I can change (ignition module).

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Dustin

Welcome to BGW!

First thing to do is figure out which model you have. If rib's post don't help, post some pics of the cart.

Thanks for the replies! I have looked in all these spots and then some and still can not find a tag of any sort. I will get some pictures of it posted on here soon and then maybe we can get something figured out.

Thanks,

Dustin

sounds like you have a g2= 285cc motor and an electronic rev limiter in the ignition.

Also I try to post pictures later tonight

Dustin

Snox, these are small low rpm engines and you will be flirting with
destruction if you disable the rev limiter.
I am guessing from your user name you are into sleds,
these litle thumpers will not rev without a lot of revs.
Search subarumouse for racing engine mods on these small motors.
