Help with rear end???
How do I know if my yamaha I think G1 has reverse there have been som mods before I got it and it has a pin on the top that moves side to side and up and down anyways any pictures of rearends of a g1 with reverse please post thank you

Gi has no reverse and forward shift,---the motor runs forward and turn the key the other way and it runs in reverse,--the motor runs both ways--

The only pin I recall is on the top for the governor. Also the secondary clutch the ramps are on both sides like a V with pads on both sides so it can run ramps either way. 4 strokes only have ramps/pads one direction the other side goes straight down to the hub. 4 stroke the stock spring is preloaded to return the sheave to open, G1 is just a spring it is not wound 120 degrees. You can turn it one ramp to the other and it just sits there, the G9/etc will go back to the top of ramp via spring if you turn just the side that moves on ramps.
