performance spring ? for G2
Im installing a 16hp clone motor with new clutch from CPP in my G2 with 22" tires. I was wanting to know if there are different performance springs for the secondary clutch and if so what one to get. Im gonna use it mainly in the woods.

Try it with the stock spring first, With 16HP you should be fine.

Re: performance spring ? for G2
Stock spring should be that way. You preload it 120 degrees, 1/3 turn. If you want to experiment get the yamahauler spring it should be a step above stock. With the extra hp the spring is not as big a deal as with stock power. I want to get the yamaha one I don't like the primary springs in kits, but have to order the motor first. The other guy wants to use stock clutch and is trying to find out about machining it, going to do 16hp in two carts I think. The spring is for a G11 I think, they are $12 or something.

Re: performance spring ? for G2
I have a g9 with a 16hp clonda and the torque spring. My cart only runs about 23mph with the governer but it has so much torque it will literally climb up a set of stairs.

Re: performance spring ? for G2
I hope they run faster, I can top 30 gps with my stock G9 on the road, 28 on dirt, all on flat runs. Did you check the rpm? They should be able to run 3600 no problem but not sure how much higher. (with 22s)

yeah 22's, 3550 rmps, the clutch spring brings down the top speed. with out a governor on my stock engine i was getting the same results until the motor seized from ill use on my friends part.
