Lift info
Trying to gain some knowledge here. I see the drop spindles and drop axle for the front. What I do not see pictured clearly is for the rear is handled. With the axle mounted on top of the leaf springs, what is the lift method. Many say no welding....??
I have lifted and lowered many cars and trucks so, again......just learning for the smaller vehicle world. Also.....do the heavy duty leaf springs give any lift? |

Re: Lift info
The HD springs will only lift your cart 1/2" - 1" if your current springs are worn and sagging. They do however provide the needed firmeness for rear seat passengers or beds for hauling stuff.
I have a 5" drop axle in the front with HD springs in the rear. The rear is lifted with a shackle lift. A shackle lift is basically pieces of flat bar which are longer and take the place of the ones on the rear of the leaf springs. Some also include small blocks to go between the leaf springs and axle along with longer U-bolts to replace the stock ones. Hope this helps. No welding required. David J. |

Re: Lift info
The rear lifts the cart by blocks and installing the leaf springs on top of the axle. The HD leaf springs should give you another 1.5"-2".

Re: Lift info
"IF" the HD springs give 1.5"....that would be fine.
With my springs on bottom of the axle, I would think new spring perches and welding would be required for blocks to give lift. My stock rear springs sit pretty flat now and since this is a two seater, it sounds like they are just worn out. Any info on stock ride height of a TXT cart? |

Re: Lift info
No welding at all required. the sandwich between the axle and the spring to relocate the shock mount.
The rear is the easiest part the front is a pain. |

Re: Lift info
Ahhhhh.....so the blocks sit on the lower mount and extend to the top of the axle....interesting method.
Now to convince the finance manager......lol |

Re: Lift info
So, in that pic, I see nothing to support the upper spring mount from sitting on the axle when weight is placed on it. Maybe my old eyes are missing it....

Re: Lift info
you could tack the support, but there is no need. once bolted down, it will not go anywhere.

Re: Lift info
It's hard to see in the first picture, but there actually is a U shaped piece of steel that is inverted and then notched (to fit the axle tube) between the bottom of the spring and the apring mounting plate that is welded to the axle tube.
