Default how to replace starter belt?

Cart is a 1989 i believe, and in trying to replace the stater belt we're having trouble figuring out how to get to the belt wheel. do i need to take the clutch apart with a clutch wrench (dont have one)... this is regular maintenance stuff, what are we missing?

clutch belt will roll off over the clutches without tools then you need a 9/16 for the upper bracket and 1/2 inch wrench for the slider bolt down below...........if you have rear access cover take it off the 1/2 inch is kinda hidden but its down there, take your time it can be a little bit of a pain................when you put new belt on make sure you get it very tight or it will just slip slip slip.....................

Jack the rear of the car up in the air. Run it in forward all the way up to full speed and slam on the brakes. This causes the clutches to stop so quickly that it will sandwich the belt into the driven clutch about halfway up the ramp and give you the slack you need to allow you to easily roll the belt off.

It really works. Carryalls and Limo cars are the worst. Anything with the 1017188 cogged belts on them. That belt is slightly shorter than the 1016203. This little trick is the only easy way to remove a 1017188

And that's the belt I have on my 07 Lynx!
(I don't understand why... because basically it's a DS, but uses the 7188 belt!)
it's always rolled off "somewhat" easily! But, there's nothing better then a new "trick"!

Don't worry about it. The 1017188 belt won't hurt anything at all. It will give you a minimal increase in torque due to the shorter size plus it won't slip as easy since it's cogged. It's somewhat of an upgrade for you.
