Default micro switch question

wants my cart to idle (REAL BAD)
was wondering about the pedal kill switch
2 wires run to the micro switch, black wire, white/black wire.
should the white/black wire become hot,or live when you turn the key on?

(it's hard to keep up with everything going on at BGW... at least for me anyways! )

I still find it hard to believe that there isn't a black and white wire going to the coil AND to the limiter,
that would ground the coil and shut the engine down!

Any "outside help" would be greatly appreciated!
Out of 6 carts I've did the "idle mod" to... all of them shut down with the key switch!

And PCC... I don't know... I've never had to test to see if the B/W wire becomes hot or not!

thinks the problem is in the ground some where,
gonna pull the key switch out tonight and look at it, my understanding is the white/black wire is a ground. from the micro-switch that wire goes to the key switch and rev limiter.
i have not givin up yet.
sounds simple enough................
