Default 2006 Ingersoll Rand Golf cart

HI! I just recently purchased a used 2006 Ingersoll Rand Club Car. I was driving it than it just quit. We took the whole motor apart and the only issue that we found was no spark. than we had spark for a minute, than lost it. Now we are trying to figure out what is wrong and where everything is located.. We already have to coil off but arent sure if the ignitor is in the black box or where it is located.. Any help would be apppreciated.

The igniter is integrated within the coil housing Bob, it's a one piece unit.

What FC said!

It's probably a bad coil!
Just curious though... how much of the engine did you take apart to find this out?

Almost forgot , remove the ground wire from the rpm limiter and test again. They have been known to cause loss of spark also.

HI! Everyone,

So spent most of the day working on this club car. So we unplugged the Rev limiter from the engine.. Still no spark.. Than we took the ground off the coil and completely took out the rev limiter and the thing started.. so my boyfriend did a condutity check on the rev limiter and gthe black wire which has the two ends well the shorter end there was no condity. so we spliced a wire into the white and black wire still nothing.. so we hooked the wire to a ground on the motor and the thing started right up.. Now the thing wont shut off.. how do these golf carts charge?
