Default 04 Precedent starting problem

I have an 04 Precedent gas FE 290 engine. When I press the pedal to start it sometimes will take a few tries to get it going. This is even after it has been warmed up (like at a stop sign). I press it down about 1/3 of the way and you can tell its getting the signal just not going. Any help is greatly appreciated, and I tried searching but got didnt get any good results.

Check the SG belt tension. It needs to be nice and tight. These motors come to rest on the compression stroke, a loose belt can't get past this until it gets sticky through friction on the pulleys and finally bites.
