I think your circuit can damage the controller. The forward and reverse switch just switches a "TRIAC" in the controller and is not supportive of a LOAD ( relay current).

While it might work for some I would never hook it up that way . The reverse buzzer is a "LOAD" that the controller has been designed to power and a relay hooked up to that circuit I feel is a lot better way to go..

I have attach a drawing of what i mean

Hi Bruce this is Brian . You sent me a diagram on how to tap into my reverse buzzer using a 48vdc relay.I felt more comfortable using your method of hooking up the backup light. I don't want to look like a dummy, but can you draw a more elaborate drawing with pos + and neg- signs and like from the battery and go to the ground stuff like that, something a (novice or a dummy) can understand. Any visual pictures, signs or instructions would greatly be appreciated. I am pretty sure this is something you don't want to do on your weekend. Ill post a video if I get it to work for your effort.
Thanks Brian

I guess I am confusing where the golf club buzzer wires go to the Potter Brumfield Terminals. There are (2) staggered 1/4 terminals. (1) is labeled (Com position) and (1) is labeled (on position).
And there are (2) 3/16 spade terminals side by side at one end of the relay.I guess my question is which wire goes to which terminal.

See attached photo.....Ill get this sooner or later. Thanks
