Club car erratic spark
When trying to start cart spark was intermittant. Finally found loose connection on ignitor. repaired connection and got started. This cart been sitting about year and was told ran fine when parked just would have to sometimes hit pedal couple times to get to rollover. Ran cart 3-5 minutes and it quit, no spark. I have checked grounds, ign switch unhooked brown grd wire next to rpm limiter and also barrel conector coming out of limiter and it will run ? any ideas kinda stumped here thanks

Re: Club car erratic spark
First off WELCOME TJ, Now to your problem, Take the cover off the fly wheel and remove coil. It is a real pain the first time the muffler bracket on the rear of the cart will be in the way of one of the bolts but if you loosen it an pry it out just a little you can get a wrench on the bolt at three o'clock and get it out. OK now that you have the coil out Is it covered in RUST? if so here's your problem. clean up the face of the coil with a wire wheel or emery cloth then do the same to the face of the flywheel. Blow everything clean and re install the coil setting the gap at .018 and you should run like a champ.
