Default Which rear shocks do I need?

I added a 101 lift on my '87 gas DS and the vendor sent 4 shock extensions for the rear (which was needed). I'm a little uneasy about having a shock with 2 extensions to compensate for the lift though. The new top mounting plate in the kit has a provision for a shock mount and it looks like using an electric twin post shock will work. Has anyone else run into this, and will the electric shock work, or is there another that is suitable?

To be quit honest with you..if you added or are going to add the HD leafspring packs for a rear seat, the shocks are worthless...those spring packs are soooo stiff that the shocks see VERY VERY little use...I beleive that the stocks with the 2 extensions would be fine...but...if you really want to spend money on shocks, search some old posts for the Monroe part number and you will find a cheap car shock that you can use....Just my 2 cents...

I haven't seriously considered adding a rear seat yet though I may in the future. Even with the stock spring, it's not what I would call a "cushy" ride
I'll go with this arrangement and keep an eye on it. Thanks for the response

i think the correct shock is for a 70 something chevette. i have a 7.5" lift on my cart. i used some on mine and did notice a diff when using them.

that one has a stud on the top and an eye on the bottom

Have a look at the Monroe shock number 32126.

. . also check specs on Monroe 5758 shocks to see if they meet your measurement needs . .
