Re: Newbie with a couple of questions
The run/tow is a toggle switch and labeled "run/tow and should be fairly obvious. If there is a long arm going from the F/R handle to the passenger side of the cart and attaching to a mechanical switch which should be under a plastic cover then this is a series cart. When looking to upgrade motors or controllers shop for series wound motors and appropriate controllers.

A series cart is not bad, in fact they are the 'workhorses' of the golf cart world. PDS (Sepex) carts are the street rods... Each type has their own virtues. The series carts cost a little more to upgrade because they have more cables and a remote F&R switch. THe series carts handle heavy loads better than Sepex carts but are typically not as fast. I hope this helps. |

Re: Newbie with a couple of questions
I would be concerned about the misinformation. I would have real concern about paying for "new" batteries, then seeing discrepancies in what I was sold and what I really purchased! How do you know they are "new" batteries? You may have also paid a premium for a PDS cart when all someone did was put a sticker on it! You can buy these stickers all day long from shop ezgo.com.

Re: Newbie with a couple of questions
One more thing... If you do decide to confront the dealer I would, BEFORE you go purchase a cart, decide what you want out of your cart. If you want to go 30mph then you need to go down one upgrade path, if you want 18 to 20 another! If you want to go 25 to 30 you may needa 48v cart in that case you don't want to pay for new 36v batteries only to have to add more later, it's not a good idea to just go get two new batteries and add them to the rest.
What I'm saying is know where you want to end up before you get a cart that can't get you there. Best of luck and have a blast with your cart. |

Re: Newbie with a couple of questions
Where? And what time do they open?
"good deal" all depends on the market in your area. Sounds like a nice cart. Just make sure it does what you want. At $4000 sure would suck to have to start dropping money to get it where you want it. And I pick door #3 |

Lol, well I think it's all I,ll need. I may want more speed/torque in the future, currently it's all stock except for the freedom chip, will this be upgradable or should I say easily upgradable? |

Re: Newbie with a couple of questions
Lets start from the beginning ~ what do you want the cart to do?
How many passengers? How big a set of tires? What speed? What terrain? Tow the boat/race car? Take the dog to the mailbox? Like that. |
