Air filter sealing
I'm getting ready to install a new carburetor on my 89 CC. I've noticed that the air cleaner box connection between the large box and the accordion section is loose and will rotate freely. Does this connection have to be air tight for the engine to run properly?

Re: Air filter sealing
There's supposed to be a big O-ring in there.

Re: Air filter sealing
I didn't take it apart, but I sealed it anyway. If there was an O-ring in there, it's probably dry rotted by now. Maybe when I get up some extra energy, I'll replace it. As for now, it's running pretty good. Thanks for the reply.
