CC tune up

I've got an '89 DS gas. Looking for tune up kit through the site sponsors but I only see a kit for '91 and above... Do these engines have an oil filter? Also looking for a good oil to use! Thanks a million!!

No oil filter, it's a splash system,

Don't know about the '89 but my manual recommends straight 30W oil.

'91 was the last year for the engine like yours and mine. Put a new plug in it and go.

This is correct. I just use 10W30 since I had some laying around. I don't think it makes much difference.

Tune up kit for your motor is 2 new fuel filters, air filter, and spark plug. The oil is 30weight. No oil filter it's splash lubricated.

Straight 30 will be too thick. I am using 10-30 until summer. I put the solenoid on it and it fired right up! Idles like it's new!! I may swap the gas for clean gas, change the plug and run it for a bit!! Thanks guys!
