Re: LiFePo4 conversion
My cart is unmodified at this time but I am open to suggestions. I typically just use it for golf and running around town. I am fairly happy with the performance. I used to want more speed, but with two teenage boys also driving it, that is not at the top of my list.

Re: LiFePo4 conversion
Would love to know the results and whether or not you completed the conversion.

Re: LiFePo4 conversion
I did the conversion last year. I detailed it in another post "Truth in battery labeling".
I am still very happy with the conversion. The capacitors did not work as well as I had hoped and I still blow the bms fuse if I floor it and try to pop the wheelie like Sport Coupe did. Not a big deal as all I have to do is cycle the switch on and off to reset it. A few months after I had been running the LifePo4 set up I was going to add an additional 12 volts and a controller but the manufacturer talked me out of it. I can still get 4 rounds of golf out of a charge if its not windy but typically will recharge after every round out of habit because you never know when you will need to play extra holes. |

Question.. Just wondering how it compares. How many rounds could you get out of your lead acid pack when it was new?

Re: LiFePo4 conversion
You may get more bang for the buck with a Yamaha AC drive or an EZ GO RXV AC drive cart.
Another expensive option is an AC conversion for your current cart. After the AC conversion, you can then go to Li batts.... Or go the even cheeper route and buy a TESLA.. |

Re: LiFePo4 conversion
I never attempted more than 3 consecutive rounds with my lead acid battery's when they were new. If not for two elevated tee boxes, my new pack would last much longer. Going up hills drops the volts and on a low charge, it drops below the BMS low volt cut off.
I must say I am very happy with it and have ordered a second pack for my club car. |

Re: LiFePo4 conversion
I have Nissan Leaf Lithium batteries (36v) in my EZGO series TXT (like SportCoupe). I only have a 60AH pack. I get about 27 holes and the drive to and from my house (3.0 miles round trip). When I had brand new T105's I could go 45 holes plus the trip to and from my house.
