Default Carts shifting under load!

I need serious help! Just got a new belt and it seems to be a little tight and today I took it out (for first time) and whenever I got to top of a hill and it was under a load it would automatically shift into high gear and my cart wouldn't go anywhere! Please help with this

If you put the cart in maintenance mode, and run the engine up full speed, and then slow it down, does it look like your clutches are moving in and out smoothly? I'm not sure what this could be, just thought id throw out my 2 cents

I believe it is its the Emerson belt from cart parts ill get exact measurements as soon as I can but I think it's right I Definetly notice a difference when climbing small hills but the big ones where I need my machined itch to come in the cart just grabs high gear and stops
