SPM Programming
Need a little help on some settings. Here's what I'm thinking
Throttle Rate : 12 HPD : On Relay Off at Zero : On Under Voltage : 27 Over Voltage : 60 KSI Voltage : 20 Max Motor Amps : Max Battery Amps : Max Reverse : 50 Peak Amp Mode : Off Help me figure out what's the best settings. |

well I wish I could tell ya.....as I had scotty set mine up for me based on my cart and how I use it.....and I haven't bought a cord to hook it up to a laptop as of yet.

OH but I do know that my Throttle Rate is set at 15.

I think 15 is SPM default throttle setting..... I answered his question in my email. But for posterity lets answer it here too
Default setting is 100% amps for motor and pack. I have never wanted to reduce either of those but you could.....if you want lower performance. Also I leave turbo ON and set reverse power to 75%. That's it and oh yeah when all else fails hit 'default' setting. They run pretty darn good right out of the box. |

My first aftermarket controller was a SPM. Ran good out of the box but the auto adjust throttle only calibrated to 100% the first time I rode it, subsequent rides resulted in 80% throttle input when my foot was on the floor. I had to tweak the throttle curve at the top to tell controller 80% is 100%. Never had a problem after that.

Might want to consider rotating the main contactor so it is upright. Some type contactors are not recommended to be mounted sideways.
