Mind you, the cart moved under its own power earlier when I moved it out the driveway without doing anything. We ran to Wal-Mart for a few things and when we got back thought we would go for a ride but it did nothing again. That's when I wiped off the contacts on the micro switch. I don't know...I need to get a dvm, but in the meantime we are gonna go ride the hood. Wish me luck.
Mine acted this way when mine was about a year old.....as you mentioned, yours is 8 years old. but here is something to check on it, it worked for me and hasn't missed a lock since.......the center shaft nut......after the 8 years, there has been some wear of the buss bars, so there isn't as much tension on it as there once was.....for it to be properly tensioned, you tighten the nut down all the way, then back off a 1/2 turn.

by cart was doing the same thing. sometimes the light on the controller would work sometimes it would not. I called alltrax and sent it in under warranty. they checked it out and ended up sending me a new controller. problem solved

I've had this controller about 7 years now. Way past warranty.

Nothing gets hot at all when it's running Kris. I've touched everything. Even after it has ran and then quit there is nothing hot.

Any water where you run? If that is in the throttle box it won't work.
