Default Bypass OBC

So I have been having issues with the cart. It seems like when I go out to use it, turn the key and nothing. No clicks, hums, or anything. Put it in reverse and the backup alarm comes on, but it doesn't move. After a while, it works fine. Tried different unplugging and plugging back in and nothing. After a few minutes it just starts working. I think the obc is going bad. Can I bypass it and will my Lester battery charger work and not overcharge it?

It's a 2010 lsv villager. I have sepex I believe.
So I have Admiral A2 motor and SW180 / 200 amp solenoid with an Alltrax XCT controller.

Nah, this is more likely a controller issue or you have a poor connection somewhere that’s causing an incorrect signal to the controller. hook up the USB cord and see what is going on with the controller in the toolkit software.
You can check the charge interlock status in the monitor screen to see if the OBC is keeping the controller locked out when the charger is unplugged.

Well I have it hooked up and I really don't see any error messages. But to be honest I don't know what I'm looking for.

Now I see it. It says charger plugged in. Its not. also the hpd satisfied keeps toggling from true to false. Then the status went to true for hpd and stayed there and charger stus to false and it moved.

Ok then to verify if the OBC is doing something strange use a voltmeter to check the voltage on pin5 at the controller. This needs to be back-probed so the voltage can be monitored while the connector is plugged in. It’s the blue wire. Use a T-pin or paper clip inserted in the socket, and alligator clip the red meter lead to the clip, and make sure it has a good connection to the pin. Black lead can go on battery - or the B- at the controller.

Flip Tow Run switch to Run, charger Unplugged, check that you have pack voltage going to the Blue wire on pin 5. If no voltage or voltage is low, the OBC or wiring may be faulty.
If you have pack voltage at pin 5, Plug the charger cord into the cart while watching the voltmeter. It should drop to 0v almost instantly.
You should also see the charger interlock status change on the Toolkit screen.

Now Unplug the charge cord and watch the voltmeter, it should go back up to pack voltage immediately. If it does not then the OBC or wiring is faulty.
If it does to back up to pack voltage then repeat the process and watch the monitor screen for the charge interlock status to change. Does the voltage come back up to pack voltage, but the interlock status stays in lockout? If so the controller is faulty and you may need to talk to Alltrax about a warranty replacement.
But If you don’t care about the lockout it can just be disabled and left alone.
There are also other ways to make the lockout function if the controller is faulty, without having to replace the controller.
