Default yamaha coil help

Hey guys i have a ignition coil and it stopped working i bought a new one and worked great for 30min and i stopped for awhile and its not working ??? What can it be causing that

Hey Nitro,

Maybe a bad or intermittent ground??

Maybe an intermittent/loose connection (not necessarily right at the coil). It could be upstream by the ignitor box or the CDI box or the red/white power wire anywhere leading up to the coil (not sure which model you have).

Have both of the coils actually gotten open circuits thru the primary and/or secondary coils?

It does seem odd that 2 coils would go bad that quickly.

Was the replacement TCI a junk "aftermarket" one (they are known poor quality)? Is it for the cart in your pic, not much info was given? To all G16-G22-Ydra owners, only buy OEM yamaha TCI.

I agree, if it is an aftermarket one 30 minutes is about all they last
