2013 RXV No spark
Hello, I have a 2013 RXV with the 13 HP Kawasaki motor. There is no spark to the plug. I have opened the flywheel cover and cleaned the magnets. Still no spark. The coil has a wire connected to its center, what is this lead for. Is it suppose to have battery or ground on it. Does any one know the part number for this pick up coil.

Hello, I will answer my own question. The Kawasaki motor runs off a magneto and the connection on the coil is to shut the motor down. Simple design but I had never worked on a motor with a magneto before. A ground is supplied through a Bosch relay when you turn the key off or take your foot off the accelerator.
The Ezgo part number for the assembly ignition coil is#60372. Kawasaki has a page on their web site on this motor. They show the exploded view of every part and their part number. Hope this helps someone. Thanks, John |
