Default Yamaha G2 Ball Joints

Have any of you found alternatives to the oem ball joint part number? Looking for a crossedover part number Yamaha is using on their ATV’s?

Am I mistaken? I don't think the G2 has ball joints, it should have king pins.

Or are you talking about the tie rods ends?

They have king pins. May be talking about the tie rods.

My 95 G14 uses the G2 type tie rod ends. You can buy either just the ends themselves or the whole assembly. If just the outers are bad just buy the ends. If the inner and outer ends are bad it might be easier getting the whole assembly as the threads are left and right hand depending on side and position.I made the mistake of ordering the G14 listed units not knowing the 96 G 14 uses the G 16 type which are completely different.

Yep, the G14's are kind of a mixture between G9's and G16's.

Yes sorry for the confusion. Tie rod ends. I’m more curious if you know know of Yamaha using them on crossover applications. We have literally a 1000 different tie rod ends here at work and I know one has to fit. Just not sure which one.... I do know they are 12mm x 1.25 which is an odd ball size.

Any luck or is everyone just using the stock replacements?

I've never had to replace any on my golf carts. Pull one and see if you can match it up with one at work and try it. Should work fine if the same size. If this is not an option, I'd just go stock.
