So update, I replaced driven clutch and it’s like a whole new cart. Have some time on it and it’s running and starting much better. Still doesn’t have the power I was hoping though. Checked compression and I’m at 140-145 psi each cylinder. Any thoughts to why?

I'd check valve lash and adjust. Make sure you hold the throttle open when checking compression too or it will be low

Unless the 295 head lowers compression? I dont know there

Valve lash I good. Throttle is wide open. 295 is supposed to boost compression. Checked gauge on a fresh stock 295 and it had 190 psi.

Does it bump it up any if you squirt a little oil in the spark plug hole?

So I have been in contact with my engine builder and he is at a loss. One theory he has is maybe the 350 block I gave him had a 295 crank in it. I will try and measure the stroke tonight and compare that to the stock 295 stroke. I hope that is not the case.
