I found one at Harbor Freight on sale, it's good to 1/8" stock or a little larger, if you're a decent welder. I won't use it more than 5 or 6 times a year so, with the 19.00 free replacement warranty that is good for 2 years and 90 days, I will have gotten way more than my money's worth out of it. It's the 120v model. I have it coming from a 30 amp dedicated circuit so I should be good to go for small projects. If I find that I need a larger one later, then I'm still not out much coin.

Flux core with no option to hook up gas. Most of my welding will be outside anyway, so gas would not be a good option to try to use.

Randy, I've got a 120v that I have used on several projects. It works great and is portable. The only thing I don't like is the duty cycle. If you use it continuous, it will shut down till it cools off. Also got the old stick welder for serious projects!

Thanks. I'll definitely watch the duty cycle. I already burnt one up by knowing about a duty cycle. I now know!
