Default Re: Hei Conversion 99 Ezgo Txt

I have a 2001 ezgo workhorse 800 with 295 cc robin engine which was getting hard to start with weak spark to plugs and sometimes no spark at all. Converting to hei. Eliminated igniter, cleaned all terminal connections and surfaces, replaced old rusty bolts with fresh new bolts, installed hei on 1/4 in. aluminum plate well grounded, replaced solenoid, new pulsar set at .030, and new regulator to cover all the bases, and ran all wires explicitly as jeffrun previously instructed in this forum. Just running engine over with test light from ground to coil, lights, but does not flash. I've ohm'd everything which seem to be in specs except coil which should be about .5 is 5.2 on primary. I have no spark to plugs. Is this indicative of possible bad coil and or is there anything else I should be looking at. Was very excited about concept of upgrading to hei, but after two weeks of fighting this thing I am very disappointed. Any help would be greatly and deeply appreciated. Thanks
