G1 oil mix

I filled my 5 gallon can up and put about 14oz of oil in it ,not on purpose ,missed up, i just rebuilt the top end, cylinder,piston, rings, should it be ok to run it with this much oil, i didnt put in the tank yet, just dont want to miss it up, they say to use a little more oil for a fresh rebuild,thanks

I hope you are talking about a G1 two cycle! After you rebuilding it is suggested some thing like around 40:1 for the first tank. After that you can play with the mix. I can only can tell you what I due and the injector pump has been removed before I got it. For hard trail riding 40:1
and around house 70 or 80:1 no heave pulling or high speeds. But if you are using ejectors and they work for you just fill up both tanks. But 14 oz is a lot of oil I due not think I would use that mix. Way to rich of mix you may want to cut it down some. That much oil will cause a lots of smoke and fouling of the plug and probable a hole bunch more problems.

I was told by a tech that yamaha breaks in at 25:1, and you mixed close to 50:1, I would add more oil.
