Worn down brushes might be causing the problem.

After hunting season, ship it to Plum Quick and let them do their magic on it.
Give them a call and tell the about your cart set up and how it is used and they will suggest the best rebuild.

Johnnie,I used the cart Monday and Tuesday and it did not act up. I see that the brushes could be bad. Do you think it is OK to use it without being stranded forever 1 1/2 mile from camp? I will have the motor redone after HUNTING SEASON! Thanks

Since we never figured out what actually caused the cart to act-up, that question is impossible for me to answer.

All I can suggest is to make contingency plans, so if it does decide to fail again, you'll be able to contact someone that can come and get you and the cart.

Personally, I wouldn't go further from camp than I can walk back from, and I've got bad legs, so I can't walk very far. YMMV.
