Problem with the MCOR?

The dash light could be a separate issue, unless You had the battery disconnected and then it would be normal for the first time You run the cart after the OBC reset itself.

I don't think it is a huge safety risk running with the paper clip in place. The controller will not power the solenoid until there is more than 25% throttle applied.

It is more of a redundant safety in my opinion, but You should probably fix it eventually.

I dunno about the dash light. It didn't come on until I installed the paper clip. I did put the cart in tow position before I put in the paper clip. Thought that would be the right thing to do. Like I said I did go out and remove the paper clip. I will do futher testing when I have more time. 2nd shift S@#*s!! Thanks!

Sergio your right under normal conditions. But if one of the power output transistor is shorted and you turn the key on with the MCOR sw shorted the cart will go to a runaway cart condition.

I don't see how that would be any different, there are a lot of other safeties in place, plus the solenoid would still have to engage (remember, the pedal switch does not engage the solenoid).

The only scenario would be a fluctuation in the throttle signal after the key switch is turned ON (but it would have to be normal at the time the switch was turned ON or it would generate a fault).

If the throttle signal wire is either shorted or disconnected it would generate a throttle fault as well and the cart would not move.

I did not recommend not to fix it, but I would not make it a priority.

look at the stickies above, the micro switch was replaced.

You will need some solder wick or a vacuum desoldering pump to separate the board from the connectors.

This is the $20 switch you need: MCOR micro switch.

In the sticky Marshred had to cut the MCOR open, but some folks have been able to just pop it open.

Now to find a place for the actuator and switch on the go pedal to bypass the MCOR internal switch. There has to be a way to do it that would last, or maybe setup something like a brake light switch. Hummm... But if it's that easy to pop open the MCOR then that would be easier yet.
