Like a lot of us - you are getting a crash course in DC drives. The 2 biggest weak links in the resistor coil drive are the speed wiper board contacts and the F&R switch. We are the only company offering a HD F&R for early and late Marathons, each with their own unique center shaft.

I will email my questions, on the solenoid as well as FNR for my early marathon. Don't want to hijack this topic.

Go with the reversing contactor from Scotty. I just installed one and it is the next best thing to slice bread.
