Re: Going To get a new Motor
Not surprising, 500a is more than I'm comfortable with for the stock motor. Given the additional load of big tires and rear seat the stock motor was almost guaranteed to fail. Good news is 500a is a good match for this motor.

Re: Going To get a new Motor
Quote:
The ES-63-49 ought to get you to 25 MPH on 23" tires, unless they are the low pressure type (<10PSI max inflation pressure). With stock gears in the differential (12.44:1) and 23" tire, the motor is only spinning about 4,600 RPM at 25 MPH, so it might go a wee bit faster. ----------- BTW: Save the speed sensor assembly off the old PDS motor. If you decide to upgrade to an XCT controller at a later date, you'll need the cable and the 3 pin MOLEX connector (J5) if you want to use the RPM functions of the XCT. (They are optional - user programmable) |

Re: Going To get a new Motor
And if you decide you want a few stock motors to burn up, I probably have 20 laying around

Re: Going To get a new Motor
Thanks for all the replies, after a while of wrestling that giant 65 lbs motor in there it is awesome. I haven't clocked it yet but i bet i am doing every bit of 25 mph, plus on takeoff it tries to pull the wheels of the ground. I would highly recommend the D&D-ES6349 to anyone with a lifted cart with a back seat.
