1980s EZGO Resistor Systems
Are these systems similar to the CC systems? What do they use as a throttle? Are they like the CC 5 solenoid system or more like a V-glide? Thanks for any input, I know CCs like the back of my hand but know very little about EZGOs.

Re: 1980s EZGO Resistor Systems
They have a wiper board and a wiper like a rudimentary V-glide. 3 coils, 4 speeds. IMO, the CC one is a little stronger as the boards like to arc and melt (Like a V-glide doesn't ) however both systems will give long life if maintained and driven properly.

Re: 1980s EZGO Resistor Systems
I think the engineers for Ezgo were a lot smarter about their system resistor drive system than club car even though the 2 system worked almost identically. Ezgo stopped producing them 10 years before CC did

Re: 1980s EZGO Resistor Systems
He's asking because he is looking for an old resistor and I offered him an old EZGO unit I have laying around on the house (as long as he paid for the ride) His question is could he use the EZGO coils in his CC. I don't have an answer as I have never tried it.

#1 use the ezgo coils in a CC system... because a range of resistor coils is a range of resistor coils. #2 find the rest of the Ezgo system and run it complete. You know this is for a crushman, right. |

You're confused Scotty, I have the Cushman and Jake has a Harley. We're keeping the old carts alive one at a time.

Nice discussion I sparked here.
It turns out I will not need to replace my drive system in the ole Harley. See here for further: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/harle...-you-give.html |
