Default Smoked my motor. Need advice

I had a torque 600amp controller installed on my ds iq... Love it until I think I burned up my motor. Motor started smoking and cart stopped in its tracks. I live in a hilly area and I'm running large tires, so I need a heavy duty motor. I've looked at d&d's and plum quick's web sights and not sure which way to go??? Any advice would be appreciated!

My vote goes to having Plum Quick supply a motor based on your needs; talk to them... But if you was running a stock (250 amp?) motor on a 600 amp controller in hilly conditions with 25" tires your motor was going to let out its magic smoke sooner or later as everything comes at a price....

D&D makes very good high torque motors.

How much speed do you lose with D&D torque motors? On stock I got 31 mph with XCT 400 amp controller and 23 to tires...

I'd love a high torque but don't want to creep along either.
