Default 99 cc ds questions

Inherited it. Had no clue what I got but here goes. No history and I really wasn't sure it was worth the cost to repair

I studied this forum prior to starting .... Got a ton of good wisdom from many of you. Thanks in advance

Rebuilt alum battery rack
Installed new Trojan batts and cables. Used #6 awg. Wish I used #4.
Cleaned all connections
Vglide accel module smashed, but all I needed was plastic. Meticulously cleaned the copper and transferred it all over to new plastic

Ohms at stop and wide open we're spot on!!!!!

To my surprise, it worked perfectly. Hmmm. Interesting.....

Next I went w hd rear springs and jake lift kit and tires. The whole steel/alum on the shackles was work, but I got r done.

This also yielded front wheel bearings seized up on spindles. Replaced and repacked

Really can't complain. The old charger works as I have read it should. I get almost 54vdc after a charge.... And she cruises at 15mph.

Questions

1). I don't have an off/tow switch......is it critical? Did it ever have one?
2). I have 2 wires off microswitches (red and blue....forw/rev selector)with no home. One appears to be backup alarm, Which I don't care about. Not sure about other.
3). Does this model regen during coast?

Will study more, jus hoping for quick wisdom

Summary. It's fun and handy around the farm!!!!!

It's a series car. It does not have regenerative braking. It never had a tow/run switch. The wires you describe on the micro switch are most likely on the middle of the three switches, right? If so, that switch is for the reverse buzzer.

Middle correct! Ok. I don't want the beep anyway

Am I supposed to have an off/tow switch?

I'm assuming you're referring to the picture in my avatar. It's not my personal cart. I own a golf car repair / parts & accessories business. It's a picture of a customer's vehicle.
