Nylon Insulator
Hey everybody. About to start my third electric project in the last couple months. Still fairly new to electric carts. This one is an early 90's 36v DS controller cart.
Plan to remove motor, disassemble, clean, and at a minimum replace brushes as I did on the other 2. Think I have learned an expensive lesson. Is there anywhere to purchase the insulators that surround the lugs protruding through the motor without spending around $30 X 4 to replace them? I just think this price is ridiculous. |

Re: Nylon Insulator
What motor is it? The old school one with the 4 terminals all in a row?

Yes Tahoe, has 4 square, separate insulators.

Re: Nylon Insulator
I have some used ones but they're not for that motor. I honestly have no idea where I could find any. I'll definitely look though.

Re: Nylon Insulator
I will try and look this weekend for you. I have about 15 70quart tubs full of old new parts and may have some.

Re: Nylon Insulator
Thanks ya'll. Don't go through a lot of trouble to find them. But before I pay that amount again I'm going to buy a solid block of nylon (about 10 bucks) and make my own. Why do these things cost so much? Even the newer ones (2 with the shoulders) are crazy expensive.
