Default Re: Older CC Fuse Panel...Aftermarket or Factory?

Thanks for all the help, gents. I did as mrgolf suggested and hooked up to a battery to confirm that the blue wire was the high beam.

I have (hopefully) just one more question and I can put these lights to bed and start putting everything back together.

So I'm wiring everything to the new fuse block and using a dorman 3 prong switch for the headlights. Because of the way the wires were run to the old factory fuse block/buss in the dash, I have a few negative connections (headlights, taillights) hanging out in the dash that need to be run to the new buss bar in the battery area. Can I still use that old buss bar to wrangle all those neg connections and then run one negative back to the new buss bar?

Also, does the third prong on the switch get grounded to the buss bar as well?

I've already fried one microswitch hooking up this reducer, and I'd like to avoid burning up another.

Thanks again for all the help!

Anyone have thoughts on re-using that old buss bar in the dash and just running one higher-gauge wire back to the new buss bar? My daughter's anxious for the light's to work so we can go look at Christmas lights around the neighboorhood. Trying to get this wired up ASAP.

Thanks.

Just closing this out for the benefit of any future readers.

I ran all the negatives (including 3 prong switch) to the old buss bar in the dash, then ran one higher guage negative wire from the old buss bar to the new buss bar in the battery area next to the new fuse block.

Everything is working great and I'm not seeing any adverse effects from re-using that old buss bar.

Thanks for everyone's help! Happy Carting!
