Default 2005 Club Car DS 48V Selenoid driver failure?

Selenoid on my cart never engages.
When I jump the studs (arch manually by taking thick wires off the selenoid and connecting) the cart runs.

I am told the solenoid driver may have failed in the controller. Basically what this means is that the controller is no longer capable of providing power to the solenoid coil to make it energize. Otherwise, the controller is probably fine. This often happens when a diode is installed backwards (or fails) on a solenoid.

How do I go about properly testing if my brand new selenoid is experiencing this problem?

The solenoid needs a (+) and (-) at the 2 small terminals to energize the magnetic coil and draw the bridge into the contacts at the big terminals.
So, do you have this plus and minus at the small terminals when you try to go?

What voltage should it read? and should it be live only when pedal depressed?

Same as the battery pack voltage should be present when you try to go. Put your voltmeter leads on the 2 small terminals and press the gas.

I'm blessed to have the best Scottsbluff answer my questions.
I'll be testing as soon as I get out of work.
Assuming I don't get a reading, what would be the next step?

No voltage. Could it be the MCOR?
BTW, The resistor measures 240. According to your website it should measure 470 ohms

By the wiring diagram
Run tow Sw , in "run", sends +48 to key Sw ,
key on
Should have +48 on one of the solenoid's small treminals, light blue wire

My guess, but with the FNR Sw in F or R, & the go pedal pushed,
the controller sends -48 to the other small terminal ( blue/white wire) solenoid is engaged
)If the charger is not plugged in)
