More speed on converted ‘88 DS?
Hi- I have a 1988 Club Car DS I converted with Scotty’s kit. 400 amp Alltrax SR48400, HD FNR, 200 amp solenoid, and all new cables in the whole cart. I’m using the stock motor, and 36 volts, batteries are 3 months old.
It’s lifted with 23.5” wheels. What’s the best way for me to get a little more speed out of it? Going to 48v or getting a new motor? I’m just looking at options. It currently goes about 17. I’d like closer to 20, or even better 25. Thank you! Luke Club Car DS Driver’s Club #59 |

48 volts into that 36 volt motor would make it a screamer..... and more torque too.
I am not sure what a motor change would do. We always ran 48 volts through them and never bought a replacement 36v for a 36v cart. |
