Re: 1993 DS V Glide/MSP Help
If the solenoid trips, all the small wire stuff is good (including V-glide). You're looking at something with a heavy cable on it. Since you jumped the solenoid, that leaves the F+R s/w, the motor, the controller or a crappy cable.

Re: 1993 DS V Glide/MSP Help
Jumped B- and M- on controller. Cart runs forward and reverse. What does that leave other than controller?

Re: 1993 DS V Glide/MSP Help
There is only one of thing I'd check just to make sure I covered all the bases.
At the F+R s/w the factory wiring had 2 blue cables there. They had different size eyes on them so it was apparent where they connected. Replacement cables may or may not have all the same size eyes so I'd double check where the 2 blues go. I'm not sure, but I believe that even if they're switched there would movement but only in one direction. It would be the last straw before I'd buy a controller. . |

Re: 1993 DS V Glide/MSP Help
Make sure Your controller has the inputs it needs to work.
Disconnect the Terminal #1 from the controller and make sure You get +48v when the pedal micro-switch closes. Disconnect the Terminals #2 and #3 from the controller and measure the resistance on those 2 wires from pedal up to pedal down. FNR in Forward = 0-5kΩMake sure you don't get any 0L (open line) on the meter after you hear the pedal micro-switch click. |
